Technical questions

Answers are bounded by the material, workpiece, equipment and stated test conditions.

Should the fixture be designed separately from the quenchant and tank?

No. Support, loading, transfer, immersion attitude and cooling channels affect the flow and should be reviewed with the medium and installed tank.

Does a probe cooling curve reproduce the result inside a production workpiece?

No. A probe curve characterizes the stated test condition. Internal workpiece temperature, first-article inspection and production records are needed to validate the actual part.
